Frequently asked questions

Can I delete the four ready statuses?
You cannot delete them, but you can change them. To do, In progress, Done and On hold cannot be removed; in return you can rename and recolour all of them in edit mode and move them around the list. So if you want a status that reads "With the client" instead of "On hold", there is no need to delete anything, renaming is enough.
What happens to the notes if I delete a status I added?
Nothing happens to the notes. They all stay in the list, their content, tags and sub-pages untouched; you simply see a dash in the Status column from then on, so they look like notes without a status. You can give them a new status whenever you want.
Do my settings apply on my other devices?
Yes. Your appearance preferences are saved to your account rather than your device, so every browser you sign in from shows the same look. Pumpynotes also keeps a copy in your browser, purely so the page can paint in the right theme while it loads; the real record lives in your account.
What exactly does the System theme do?
It leaves the decision to your device. If your phone, tablet or computer is in dark mode, Pumpynotes looks dark; when it returns to light mode, Pumpynotes follows. If your device switches automatically during the day, Pumpynotes keeps up with it.
Can I undo it after deleting?
No. A deleted account and its records do not go to the trash, are not held for a while and cannot be restored. If you want a copy of your records, you have to export it before deleting.
Can I sign up again with the same email address?
Yes, the address becomes available again. But the account you open is a completely new and empty one; your old records do not come back with it.
Which plans have exporting?
All of them. On the Free plan the same button sits in the same place and gives you the same file; there is no limit on how many times or how often.
Can I load the file back into Pumpynotes?
Not for now, there is no import feature. The file exists so you can keep your records and use them elsewhere; it cannot be loaded back into Pumpynotes.
