The Notes section is built on an editor where everything is a block: a paragraph, a heading, a list, or a table. You can drag blocks up and down, change their type, and build a rich page in a few taps. This guide shows you how to take notes with the block editor.
Create your first note
Open Notes from the left menu and add a new page. Write a title, then start typing. Each line is its own block; to add a new block type, use the insert menu at the start of the line or type a quick command. You can also create sub-pages inside a page to keep topics apart.
Use block types
Mix the blocks you need to structure your thoughts:
- Headings: split long notes into sections.
- To-do lists: add checkable tasks and track progress.
- Tables: organize information in rows and columns.
- Images and code blocks: add screenshots or keep technical notes in formatted code.
- Mentions: link to related people and items with @.
The number of pages is not capped at a fixed count; you can create as many pages as your storage allows. Changes are saved as you type.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change a block's type later?
Yes. You can select any block and switch its type, for example turn a paragraph into a heading or a list into a to-do list.
How many pages can I create?
There is no fixed page limit. The total is only bounded by the storage on your plan.
