Pumpynotes Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how subscriptions to Pumpynotes are billed, how you can cancel at any time, and when you are entitled to a refund. It applies to all paid subscriptions to the Pumpynotes service ("Pumpynotes", "we", "us", "our"). Please read it together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Because all purchases are processed by our payment partner Paddle.com as Merchant of Record, Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws, including those of the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye.

1. Scope and Overview

This Policy governs cancellations and refunds for paid subscriptions to Pumpynotes, a web-based productivity application that combines a calendar, block-based notes, multi-currency personal and business finance tracking, and shared team workspaces. It covers the Pro, Enterprise, and Enterprise+ plans, billed on a monthly or yearly basis. Pumpynotes is currently offered as a public beta.

Our goal is to be fair, clear, and transparent. You can cancel your subscription at any time, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again after you cancel. In addition, first-time subscribers benefit from a 14-day money-back period as described below.

This Policy does not reduce any rights granted to you by applicable mandatory law. Where local consumer protection law gives you stronger rights than those described here, those stronger rights apply.

If any term of this Policy conflicts with our Terms of Service, this Policy controls with respect to cancellations and refunds. If this Policy conflicts with a mandatory legal right you hold, the mandatory legal right prevails.

2. Payments Processed by Paddle (Merchant of Record)

All paid subscriptions to Pumpynotes are sold and processed by Paddle.com ("Paddle") acting as the Merchant of Record. This means Paddle, not Pumpynotes, is the seller of record for your purchase. Paddle handles checkout, payment collection, subscription billing and renewals, invoicing, and the calculation and remittance of applicable taxes and VAT.

Pumpynotes never sees or stores your full payment card numbers or other sensitive payment credentials. Those details are handled directly by Paddle and its payment processors under their own security and compliance standards.

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, Paddle's buyer terms and checkout terms also apply to your purchase, in addition to this Policy. In the event of a direct conflict between this Policy and Paddle's buyer terms regarding how a payment or refund is technically processed, Paddle's terms may govern the mechanics of the transaction. Even so, we will always honor the refund commitments and mandatory consumer rights described in this Policy.

Some refunds and cancellations are actioned through Paddle's systems. Where that is the case, we will either process your request through Paddle on your behalf or direct you to the appropriate Paddle channel, as explained in the sections below.

3. How Subscription Billing Works

Paid Pumpynotes plans are sold on a recurring, auto-renewing subscription basis. When you subscribe, you choose a billing cycle of either monthly or yearly, and you authorize recurring charges for that cycle through Paddle.

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (each month for monthly plans, or each year for yearly plans) at the then-current price for your plan, unless you cancel before the renewal date. The renewal charge is collected automatically using the payment method on file with Paddle.

If the price of your plan changes, or if applicable taxes change, we or Paddle will notify you in advance as required by law before any renewal at the new amount, so that you have the opportunity to cancel if you do not wish to continue.

Before each renewal, you can review your subscription, billing cycle, next renewal date, and amount through your Pumpynotes account or through the receipts and account-management links provided by Paddle in your purchase confirmation emails.

4. How to Cancel

You can cancel your paid subscription at any time, for any reason. To cancel, use the subscription or billing settings in your Pumpynotes account, or use the subscription-management link included in the email receipts sent by Paddle. If you have any difficulty, contact us at [email protected] and we will help you cancel.

When you cancel, your subscription will not auto-renew, and you will not be charged again for the plan you cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewal charges; on its own it does not trigger a refund of amounts already paid for the current period (refund eligibility is covered in Section 5).

After you cancel, your paid access continues until the end of the current paid period that you have already been billed for. You keep all features of your plan through that date, and your subscription downgrades or stops at the end of that period.

At the end of the paid period, your account typically reverts to the Free plan so that you can continue to use the available free features. You may resubscribe at any time. Please note that data limits and feature availability differ between plans, so review your content before any downgrade if you rely on paid-only capacity or features.

5. Refund Eligibility

14-day money-back guarantee for first-time purchases. If you are subscribing to a paid Pumpynotes plan for the first time, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. This applies to your first paid subscription only and is offered as a no-questions-asked money-back period for new subscribers.

EU and other statutory cooling-off rights. If you are a consumer in the European Union or in another jurisdiction that grants a statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period), you may also have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase within the period set by that law, typically 14 days. Where digital services begin during the cooling-off period with your consent, local law may adjust or reduce the refundable amount; we will apply your mandatory statutory rights in full and will not seek to limit them. Our voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee runs alongside, and does not replace, these statutory rights.

Renewal charges. Charges for the automatic renewal of an existing subscription are generally non-refundable, because you can cancel at any time before a renewal to avoid being charged. We will, however, provide a refund of a renewal charge where it is required by applicable law, where the renewal was charged in error, or at our discretion in the circumstances described in Section 8.

Yearly plans. For yearly subscriptions, the 14-day money-back guarantee and any applicable statutory cooling-off right apply from the date of the initial purchase. After that period, an annual term is generally non-refundable for the remainder of the term except where required by law; if you cancel mid-term, you keep access until the end of the paid year and are not charged again.

Free plan. The Free plan involves no charges of any kind, so no payment is taken and there is nothing to refund. You can use, stop using, or delete a Free plan account at any time without any billing consequences.

Beta status. Pumpynotes is offered as a public beta. Your statutory rights and the refund commitments in this Policy apply regardless of the beta status. Beta does not waive any mandatory consumer protection you are entitled to.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, you can either submit your request through Paddle, our Merchant of Record, or email us directly at [email protected]. Either route is acceptable, and you do not need to use both.

Through Paddle: use the account-management or refund links in the purchase or renewal receipt that Paddle emailed to you, or contact Paddle's buyer support, which is referenced in those receipts. Because Paddle processes the payment, refund-related requests can often be handled fastest through Paddle.

By email: write to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account and include your name, the email used at purchase, the approximate purchase date, the plan, and the reason for your request. Providing the Paddle order or invoice number from your receipt helps us locate and process your request more quickly.

We will acknowledge your request and confirm whether it is approved under the 14-day money-back guarantee, an applicable statutory right, or our discretionary review. If a refund is approved, it is issued back to the original payment method through Paddle.

7. Processing Times for Approved Refunds

Once a refund is approved, we will initiate it with Paddle promptly, normally within 5 business days of approval.

After the refund is initiated, the time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or payment provider. Refunds typically post to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, although some banks and card networks may take longer.

Refunds are made to the original payment method used for the purchase and in the original currency of the transaction where possible. Any difference in the amount you ultimately receive due to currency conversion or fees applied by your own bank or card issuer is outside our control.

If you have not received an approved refund after 10 business days, please contact us at [email protected] and we will follow up with Paddle on your behalf.

8. Exceptions and Abuse

The 14-day money-back guarantee is intended for genuine, first-time subscribers evaluating Pumpynotes. It is offered once per customer and per workspace. It does not apply to repeat purchases, to renewals, or to accounts that resubscribe in order to claim the guarantee multiple times.

We may decline or reverse a refund, and may suspend or terminate access, where we reasonably determine there has been abuse or fraud. This includes, for example, repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles, chargebacks filed without first contacting us, use of stolen or unauthorized payment methods, or violations of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use rules.

Refunds may be reduced or declined to reflect amounts that cannot lawfully or technically be reversed, such as certain taxes already remitted where non-recoverable, or where a partial period of paid service was actively used beyond what mandatory law requires us to refund. We will always apply any minimum refund required by applicable law.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Most issues can be resolved quickly and directly, and contacting us first helps us correct genuine errors without affecting your account standing. Nothing in this section limits your right to dispute a charge where you are legally entitled to do so.

9. Contact Information

If you have any questions about this Refund and Cancellation Policy, need help cancelling, or want to request a refund, please contact us.

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rights available to you in your country of residence, including under European Union and Türkiye (KVKK and applicable consumer) law.
