Your meeting notes, your to-do list or any text with dates in it can become a tidy table or calendar events in one step with Pumpy. Both live in the inline Pumpy box in your note: Turn into table splits the text into columns, and Turn into events finds the dates in the text and lets you add them to your calendar. In this guide you can follow both actions from start to finish using the same meeting note. If you're using Pumpy for the first time, you may want to read Pumpy: your AI assistant first.

Which texts give good results?
Pumpy works by making sense of the text; the more organized the text, the more accurate the result.
- Lists. To-do, shopping or task lists with one item per line turn into tables very well.
- Meeting notes. Notes that say who will do what by when work well for both tables and events.
- Text with dates. Phrases like "October 16", "Thursday 14:00" or "tomorrow" can be turned into events. Pumpy takes today's date from your device and works out relative dates like "tomorrow" or "Thursday" from it.
For dates without a year, Pumpy picks the year based on today. If a date looks like it's in the past, check in the list which year it was given.
Limits and warnings
- Long texts. Pumpy uses the first 20,000 characters of the text you select. If the result would be longer than Pumpy can produce, you see the warning "The text is too long for this. Select a shorter part and try again."; you can convert the text section by section.
- Limit per run. A table can have at most 12 columns and 200 rows, and a list at most 30 events. If you see "Pumpy could not answer. Try again." with a larger result, select a shorter part.
- If no events are found. If the text has no dates, the box says "No events found in this text."
- Empty note or a selection with no text. If the note is empty, you see the warning "This note is empty. Write something or select text first." If you selected only a block with no text, such as a table, Pumpy tells you so; select some text or place the cursor in the note.
- Recurring events. Turn into events creates one-time events. If you want an event to repeat, see How to set up a recurring event.
