Pumpy is the AI assistant inside Pumpynotes. Select text in a note and press Pumpy to summarize it, improve the writing, fix spelling, shorten it, or turn it into a table or calendar events. In the Pumpy panel on the right you can ask about your calendar, notes and spending, or ask for a change. Pumpy never changes anything without your approval.

Select text and press Pumpy
Select the text you want to work on in a note and press Pumpy at the start of the toolbar that appears. It also works without a selection: type /pumpy on a line and press Enter, and Pumpy works with the whole note.

Add the result to your note
The result appears in the box. Replace puts it in place of your selection (it is disabled if nothing is selected), Insert below adds it under the text, Copy copies it to the clipboard. If you do not like it, press Discard. You can undo a result you added to the note with Ctrl+Z. Turn into table shows the result as a table; there is no Copy for that result. Turn into events first lists the dates it found; when you press a button such as Create 2 events, the ones you selected are added to your calendar.

Chat with Pumpy in the side panel
On desktop, click the Pumpy icon in the top bar; the Pumpy panel opens on the right. Ask things like "What is on this week?" or "What did I spend the most on last month?", or ask for a change. When Pumpy wants to add an event, update a note or record a transaction, it shows an approval card first; nothing changes until you press Approve.

What can Pumpy do?
Pumpy works only in the workspace you are in, with the items you can see.
What it can do
- Notes. Summarizes, rewrites, fixes and shortens your selection or the whole note, and turns it into a table or calendar events. In the chat it searches your notes and reads a note; with your approval it creates a new note, adds to the end of a note or updates a note.
- Calendar. Lists your events and answers questions; with your approval it adds or edits events.
- Finance. Looks at your wallets, transactions and spending summary and explains them; with your approval it records income or expenses, enters a transfer from one of your wallets to another and corrects a transaction. It also sees asset and debt wallets, so you can ask, for example, how much your Bitcoin is worth right now.
What it cannot do
- Delete. It cannot delete anything.
- Change without approval. It cannot touch your calendar, notes or finance records unless you approve the approval card.
- Other workspaces. It only sees the workspace you are in right now.
Pumpy on each plan
Pumpy usage is shown as a percentage; you can always see it in Settings > Pumpy.
- Free. A one-time free trial of Pumpy. It does not renew; when it is used up you can switch to Pro to keep using Pumpy.
- Pro. A monthly allowance that renews on the 1st of every month.
- Business. A higher monthly allowance per person. Workspace admins see each member's usage and can turn Pumpy off for the whole workspace.
- Enterprise. An allowance that renews on the 1st of every month and can be set per workspace.
- Extra credits pack. On Pro and above you can buy an extra pack of 1000 credits, even before your allowance runs out. A pack is valid for 12 months from the payment date and is only used once your monthly allowance is gone.
On mobile the Pumpy box works in notes. To chat on your phone, tap your profile picture in the top right and choose the Pumpy icon in the menu that opens; on a tablet the icon is right in the top bar. Both open the Pumpy page.
Frequently asked questions
Is Pumpy a paid feature?
Free includes a one-time allowance to try Pumpy. Pro, Business and Enterprise get an allowance that renews every month; on Pro and above you can buy an extra credits pack when it runs out.
Where does my data go?
When you use Pumpy, the text you select, or in the chat the calendar, notes and finance data it reads to answer you, is sent to our AI provider to produce the answer and is not used to train models. Your chats are stored encrypted so you see the same history on every device, and only you can read them. A chat you have not used for 90 days is deleted automatically, and you can delete all your chats at any time under Settings > Pumpy. See the Privacy Policy for details.
What happens when my allowance runs out?
The monthly allowance renews on the 1st of the month. On Pro and above you can buy an extra credits pack if you do not want to wait. When the Free trial is used up, switch to Pro to keep using Pumpy.
Can Pumpy change things on its own?
No. In the inline box the result is not added to your note until you choose Replace or Insert below, and events do not go into your calendar until you press the create button. In the chat every change is shown on an approval card first. Pumpy cannot delete anything.
Can I turn Pumpy off for my team?
Yes. On Business and Enterprise the workspace owner or an admin can turn Pumpy off for the whole workspace in Settings > Pumpy and see each member's usage.
