Once you connect ChatGPT to Pumpynotes, it can reach your calendar, notes and finance records right from the chat. It can add an event for you, write into a note, record an expense or put together last month's summary. It cannot delete anything.

Allow access in Pumpynotes
When you connect, the Pumpynotes consent screen opens. If you are not signed in, sign in first.
If you have more than one workspace, choose the one ChatGPT should access, look over the list of permissions and press Allow. You then return to ChatGPT and the connection is ready.

Ask ChatGPT
Now just talk to ChatGPT as you normally would. When a request is about Pumpynotes, ChatGPT uses the connection and tells you what it did. Before it creates or changes something, ChatGPT usually shows what it is about to do and asks you to confirm in the chat.
Add a dentist appointment tomorrow at 2 PM
Pumpynotes · create_event
Done: Dentist, tomorrow at 2 PM.
ChatGPT understands the request, creates the event in Pumpynotes and reports back.
A few more examples:
- "What's on my calendar this week?"
- "Add a line to my project note: send the draft to the team by Thursday."
- "Log a $12 lunch expense for today."
- "How much did I spend on groceries last month?"

Manage or disconnect
You can see your connections in Pumpynotes under Settings → Connected apps. Each row shows which workspace the connection belongs to, when it was set up and when it was last used. Press Disconnect and a confirmation question appears; once you confirm, ChatGPT's access ends immediately.
If you change or reset your password, or leave that workspace, the connection is also cut automatically. To reconnect, simply start the connection again from ChatGPT.

What can ChatGPT do?
ChatGPT only works in the workspace you chose on the consent screen and only with records you can see yourself.
What it can do
- Calendar. Lists events and shows their details, adds new events (recurring ones included), edits existing ones and marks one-time events as done.
- Notes. Searches your notes, reads a note, creates new notes, appends to the end of a note, and changes the title, status and tags.
- Finance. Shows your wallets and balances, transactions, summary and budget; records income or expenses, enters a transfer from one of your wallets to another and edits one-time transactions. It also sees asset and debt wallets: an asset's quantity, current value and profit/loss, and what's still owed on a debt. For example, when you say "I paid $500 from my checking account to my card", it records the payment as a transfer.
What it cannot do
- Delete. It cannot delete events, notes, transactions or any other record.
- Change sharing settings. It cannot touch who can see what.
- Recurring finance transactions. It cannot create a recurring transaction or edit an existing one.
- Rewrite rich notes. It cannot rewrite the content of notes with blocks like tables or images, notes with text that has a text color or highlight color, or very long notes; it can only append to them.
About developer mode. Developer mode is available on ChatGPT's Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans. Separately, your Pumpynotes workspace needs to be on Pro or a higher plan. The same connection also works with Claude: see Connect Claude to Pumpynotes.
Frequently asked questions
Which plans include the ChatGPT connection?
Pumpynotes Pro, Business and Enterprise. If you try to connect with a workspace on the Free plan, the consent screen shows, instead of the permissions, a note that the plan doesn't include AI assistant connections; once you upgrade the workspace to Pro, just start the connection again from ChatGPT. If a connected workspace later moves to Free, ChatGPT only gets a short note that the workspace's plan does not include AI assistant connections.
I have more than one workspace. Does ChatGPT see all of them?
No. Each connection belongs to a single workspace, and you choose it on the consent screen. For another workspace, start the connection again from ChatGPT and pick that workspace on the consent screen.
Can ChatGPT see my data, and where does it go?
ChatGPT only reaches records in the workspace you chose that you can see yourself, and it only reads or writes what a request needs. What ChatGPT reads is sent to OpenAI and handled under OpenAI's own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or store your conversations with ChatGPT. For details, see the "AI Assistant Connections" section of our Privacy Policy.
Does ChatGPT change things without asking?
Before it creates or edits an event, a note or a transaction, ChatGPT usually shows what it is about to do and asks for your confirmation in the chat; that step is handled by ChatGPT. You can see every change it makes in Pumpynotes right away. One thing is certain: ChatGPT cannot delete anything at all.
What about calendars and wallets shared with me?
On shared records, ChatGPT works with the same permission you have. If a calendar or wallet was shared with you as view only, ChatGPT can see it but cannot change it.
I cannot connect. What should I do?
First make sure your workspace is on Pro or a higher plan. Then check that you picked the right workspace on the consent screen. If you use developer mode, check that the address is exactly https://app.pumpynotes.com/mcp and that OAuth is selected. If the problem persists, start the connection again from ChatGPT. If it still does not work, write to us at [email protected].
